Film 365/365, Day 365/365 – Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

Awesome.  For me this is the best one, and it has nothing to do with the Ewoks, who are cool by the way.  The reason this is the best one is the scenes at Jabba's palace, excellent.  It's just a shame that Boba Fett got wasted so soon.  We finally get to see Luke as a Jedi and he kicks ass.  What is not to love.

Synopsis:  The Empire has begun the construction of a second Death Star, Luke needs to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt and then needs to find a way to stop the Empire once and for all.  The Emperor however has taken an interest in Luke and wishes to turn him to the dark side and make him his new weapon.

Film 364/365, Day 365/365 – Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Another excellent film and a brilliant way to continue the story.  This is much darker than A New Hope as hope is crushed and revelations change the characters dynamics.  The characters are still excellent and when you watch the series from one to six it gives it a whole new dynamic as the story is now primarily about Darth Vader.  Excellent.

Synopsis:  Angry following the destruction of the Death Star the empire continues to hunt down the rebels.  Luke travels to a distant world to find a great Jedi master to train him in the ways of the Jedi.  But can the rebels avoid Darth Vader for ever?

Film 363/365, Day 365/365 – Star Wars: A New Hope

This is the ultimate adventure story and even though it was made in 1977 the special effects are still fantastic.  I could watch this over and over again just simply brilliant and one of the greatest stories ever told.  I love it.

Synopsis:  Young farmhand Luke Skywalker is growing tired of his boring life and wants to join the rebellion against the evil Empire.  Then when his family are killed by the Empire as they search for some droids Luke gets his wish and goes on a mission to save a Princess.
