Film 248/365, Day 264/365 – The Replacement Killers

Some great action and gun fights, plus the added bonus of Mira Sorvino running around for the whole film in her bra!  I’m a big fan of Chow Yun-Fat and whilst this is nowhere near as good as A Better Tomorrow or Hard Boiled it is a good fun film to pass a bit of time.  If you don’t enjoy lots of gun fights then this probably isn’t for you.

Synopsis:  After a change of heart a contract killer is unable to complete his latest assignment and must now go on the run as replacement killers have been assigned to complete his contract and take him out.

Film 21/365, Day 23/365 – Slither

Deer hunting season has just begun, but a small meteor crashes into the nearby woods and will very much change the focus of the hunt. Local nobody Grant Grant, that is his name, finds the meteor and a strange pick blob like creature. The creature shoots a dart into Grant and takes over his brain. The creature sets about its plan of destroying all life on earth with the help of Grant’s body and the others that he claims with the help of its small pink worm-like offspring!

Slither is hilarious and very well done. The characters are as believable as they come, the hero even falls over a fence as he tries to jump over it. It’s a very simple plot, but then you’ll be here for the parasytic worm monsters, the zombies that they turn the people into, oh and you won’t believe where the worms came from! Now you’ve got to watch it to find out.
