Film 254/365, Day 275/365 – Happy Gilmore

Very funny!  It’s a pretty simple story and Happy is a pretty simple guy, but it is still one of the funniest films from the 90’s.  Adam Sandler has done that which seems pretty impossible, he has made golf entertaining!  Expect lots of fury, rage and stuff that you just wouldn’t normally find at a golf course.  Excellent.

Synopsis:  Happy Gilmore has always dreamt of being an ice hockey player, the only problem is that he can’t skate.  He does however have an incredibly powerful shot which he soon will help him earn enough money to save his Grandmother’s house by becoming a pro golfer!

Film 220/365, Day 237/365 – The Wedding Singer

It’s funny, it’s silly and it’s packed full of awful 1980s clothing.  No really, it is a completely unashamed view of the 1980s.  It is a rom-com but Adam Sandler provides enough laughs to keep it interesting for everyone else.

Synopsis:  Robbie Hart is a wedding singer.  He loves weddings, that is until his fiancé leaves him standing at the altar.  Now he hates them and he hates love.  However he soon begins to rediscover his former self when he begins to fall for Julia, a waitress that he is helping to plan her wedding!
