Good action, plenty of cheese and an average story line. Not since the first Spiderman film have we had a comic book superhero film with a complete story. All of them appear to be building up to something else, which is fine, but I would like to see a complete story in one sitting every once and a while.

Film 279/365, Day 310/365 – Fantastic Four
Some good action, some good characters, an excellent villain who wasn’t really used to his full potential which results in a fairly reasonable action film. It’s certainly not the best film based on a comic but it is also not the worst. Good fun, but that is about it.
Synopsis: A group of scientists are accidentally exposed to cosmic radiation which alters their genetic makeup. Soon they must come to terms with the changes their bodies have been through and decide how best to use these new abilities.

Film 260/365, Day 285/365 – The Losers
Very similar to the A-Team in style and substance, the Losers is a good action film with a reasonable story. It’s got lots of action and is very fast paced with a good sense of humour. However that is the problem, it is very much the same as many other action films which is why it hasn’t scored more than 3 Stars. It doesn’t really do anything to make it stand out.
Synopsis: A black ops team are betrayed and left for dead in Bolivia. Now they will need to expose their betrayers if they are to get there old lives back. But then nobody has even heard of the guy they need to find, nobody except a mysterious girl that also wants him dead.

Film 187/365, Day 198/365 – Push
Packed full of action and suspense Push is a gritty roller coaster ride of a film. It was also filmed using a number of different styles throughout which compliment the mood of the film. Push is one of those films where everything comes together at the end and I love a well thought out ending. Brilliant.
Synopsis: Nick is a mover, a simple term for someone who can move objects with their mind. He is visited by a young girl, a watcher, who can see the future who tells him that they have to find a suitcase and a girl before a shadowy organisation does or they are going to die. Can they stop the events from unfolding?
