They’re like Buses only Bigger

Just when one awesome looking monster film creeps out of the shadows along comes another.

Set six years after alien creatures have set up residence in Mexico, Monsters is the opposite of Skyline in everyway, except for the large tentacled aliens.  With only a fraction of Skyline's budget a small crew travelled guerilla style through Central America telling the story of two sceptical journalists venturing beyond the quarantine zone to see for themselves exactly what is going on.  Monsters has a UK release date of the 3rd of December 2010.

  1. Saw this at FrightFest this year - looks and sounds fantastic. The storyline is a little weak but still ends up being involving and well worth a watch.

  2. I love the idea that they filmed the whole thing on location and with the locals just wandering around as they normal. And the visuals look fantastic.

  3. Some of the soldiers used in the film were actual soldiers. They were assigned by the governments to protect them from bandits and the like but they ended up asking them to do small parts in the film. Apparently, it was scary to make. Director was a hoot and true computer geek too - decided at a young age he wanted to make a CGI sci-fi film, so made CGI his career. Then made a film :)
