Film 298/365, Day 325/365 – How to Rob a Bank

Clever and understated.  This is a good example of how to make a good low budget film, focus on the story and the delivery.  Too many get carried away with special effects and going over the top.  The script at times was a little too much but for the most part kept the film ticking along nicely.

Synopsis:  During a bank robbery Jinx ran for cover and got himself locked in the vault.  Now he’s in the vault and wants to get out whilst the bank robbers are outside of the vault and want to get in.  So a desperate set of negotiating takes place between the robbers, the cops and Jinx, but they can’t all get what they want!

Film 142/365, Day 152/365 – Kill Bill: Volume 1

An absolute masterpiece of cinematic wonder.  I love Kill Bill, with volume 1 being my favourite of the two.  I am a huge fan of Japanese film and animation and love the way that Tarantino has blended them together with a number of other styles and genres to create this visually, musically and just generally stunning film.  Love it, love it, love it!

Synopsis:  The bride, a former member of the Deadly Viper squad, is attacked and left for dead at her wedding by her former squad members.  When she wakes from a coma to discover that she has lost her unborn child she seeks revenge of all of the members of the Deadly Viper squad and their leader Bill.

Film 133/365, Day 144/365 – Dinocroc vs. Supergator

Ok, I have really got to stop it.  No more late films on SyFy with ‘vs.’ in the title.  This isn’t the worst one however, that honour still falls to Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.  But it also isn’t very good, acting is acceptable on the most parts, story is predictable and the actual part where we finally see the point of the title is over in thirty seconds and was a massive anticlimax.

Synopsis: On a remote island a secret laboratory has been experimenting with genetics and developed some over sized vegetables and mushrooms.  The wealthy benefactor has decided that the experimentation should now move to crocodiles and alligators due to there resistance to disease.  Unsurprisingly the two creatures escape and then run around the island eating a whole host of stupid and annoying people.
