Film 230/365, Day 245/365 – Spring Breakdown

This film makes me want to go on spring break!  OK, so it is silly and incredibly clichéd but it's still funny, mostly thanks to Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch who are hilarious.  It’s just some good old fashioned stupid fun.

Synopsis:  Three college friends have embarked on the world and discovered it to not be quite as they had imagined.  The geeks still get nothing.  Desperate to turn their lives around they go on Spring Break.  Whilst there however they need to keep an eye on the Senator’s daughter and make sure she doesn’t do anything crazy.  But then who is keeping an eye on them?

Film 219/365, Day 237/365 – Paul

Geek-tastic!  There are so many excellent geek jokes throughout for example when they enter a hillbilly bar and the music from Jabba’s Palace is playing.  It’s funny from start to finish, all of the characters are excellent and the story is very good.  I really enjoyed it, so, whether you are a fan of Pegg and Frost or not you really should see Paul.

Synopsis:  Graeme and Clive have finally gone on the holiday of a lifetime; they’ve been planning it since they were kids.  First they go to Comic Con in San Diego and then a tour of America’s famous UFO hot spots.  However things change when they meet Paul, an alien who has escaped from a secret military compound.

Film 145/365, Day 156/365 – Role Models

Fantastically brilliant comedy with more stand alone moments than I’ve seen in one film before.  On top of that it is a real feel good film with an excellent final scene.  There are too many hilarious characters to name them all.  The relationship between Danny and Wheeler and Jane Lynch’s character is exceptional and Christoper Mintz-Plasse is unbelievable.  Great film packed full of non stop laughs.

Synopsis:  Danny and Wheeler work for an energy drink company and go school to school giving presentations on their energy drinks.  When Danny is dumped by his girlfriend, just as tries to propose to her, they go on rampage and now face either jail or to become mentors for children.  Not sure who's being punished here!
