Review of June 2011

And that is the half way point, six months down and six months to go.  I ended last month eleven films behind and have ended this month nine films behind, although at one point I had got it down to only four films behind but then I went on holiday and wasn't able to fit any in.  Still that gives me plenty of hope that it is possible to catch up before the end of the year.

There were eight films that scored five stars in May, but there were four films scoring less than three stars.  Mostly good, but there have some pretty bad stuff.

And here is the percentage of my time that I have spent watching films so far this year.

More and more film stars have joined the list of names at the bottom of each review.  Bruce Willis has jumped back into the front, starring in seven films.  It was a good month for Angelina Jolie who is now tied in second with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Review of May 2011

Well, that is the first five months done.  Only seven to go and I have eleven films to make up which is more than last month but it is still not impossible and as long as I keep within touching distance I am confident that it is achievable.

Review of April 2011

I am now four months in with only eight to go and I am ten films behind, should be able to make that back in eight months.  Spent a good seven days this month doing DIY and nothing else.  Here is my progress to date.

Review of March 2011

Three months down and nine to go and here is how it's going.

In March I managed to claw one film back and now I am only four behind.

Here is how I am doing with watching new to old films.

I managed to watch twelve new films in March taking the total new films to 38.

This is how the rating of the films has been going, most films this month were quite good with most received a rating between three and five stars.

Review of February 2011

Well we are now two months into Film Year and here is the review of how it's going.

Overall I am now 5 films behind but I am still plodding along and currently have just started a week off work so should make up some ground pretty quickly.

Here is how I am doing with watching new to old films.

I have seen now seen more old films than new films but only just.  If I can keep it to this sort of ratio I will easily complete my target of a third of the films to be new films.

This is how the rating of the films has been going, there have been some really good ones and some really really bad ones, but they all count.

So no change there then!  I have now seen a few more actors in main roles more than once although yet to see anymore in three films.  Here are the names of the lucky few.

Review of January 2011

So I am one month into Film Year and I though it would be a good moment to reflect on what I’ve been up to. Here is my progress throughout January.

For January I was one film short of one a day, which isn’t too bad although I would rather be ahead. But this just proves that it really is going to be a challenge; would it really be worth doing if it was too easy? 

Also one of my plans was that at least one third of all of the films I watch should be a new film that I haven’t seen before. Well for January over half of the films I saw were new to me. 

So far I have enjoyed most of the films that I have watched, although there were a few to get less than three stars (what I would call average). 

Here is a graph to show how much of my time was taken up watching films in January. 

Finally I have managed to watch such a variety of films that the most I have seen an actor in the main role in a film is twice. That honour goes to Gene Wilder and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

Oh well, back to watching films I guess!
