Breaking Dawn Part 2

So this one continues exactly off the back of the last one.  Bella is still annoying beyond belief (not helped by Kristen Stewart sighing after every sentence), Edward  is still smug and annoying.  The Volturi are back finally and there is a pretty epic battle which is what this series has been calling out for but too little too late and then they hit you with the biggest stinker in the world of script/story writing... SPOILER ALERT... oh but that didn't really happen, aka it was all a dream and everyone is fine and in love and the world is wonderful (wow that's original, no one's done that before... oh wait... no, it's been done to death)!!!  Unacceptable and frankly I don't know why I am even surprised.  At least it's all over now!

Film 299/365, Day 326/365 – New Moon

Yet more pale melodramatic teenagers however this time there are some redeeming features. The introduction of the wolves, Indian werewolves I can cope with although I am still struggling with sparkly vampires.  That said Michael Sheen’s character was excellent but I still cannot stand Bella, worst character ever!

Synopsis:  After an incident involving Jasper and Bella, Edward decides it’s safer for Bella if his family moved away.  So they do, leaving Bella empty until she rekindles her friendship with Jacob, however Jacob has his own secrets.

Film 159/365, Day 167/365 – TRON: Legacy

Visually stunning, a soundtrack exclusively by Daft Punk and yet it wasn’t as good as I had hoped.  The one main thing that lets TRON: Legacy down is the story line, it just didn’t seem to have any oomph and if I’m being picky the young digital version of Jeff Bridges was a bit rubbish.  Good film but the story let it down.

Synopsis:  One day a mysterious message is sent by Kevin Flynn who has been missing for the past twenty years.  His son, Sam,  follows the message and ends up in being transported into a digital world and finds himself embroiled in a struggle that has last more than a thousand cycles!

Film 47/365, Day 54/365 – Underworld

Selene is a death dealer by trade, vampire by nature.  She is one of the best at what she does, and that is to hunt Lycans, their vicious enemies in a war that has lasted for over one thousand years.  When a routine hunt turns openly violent something didn’t feel right for Selene.  Who is this human the Lycans were following and why?

Underworld is an excellent film, and how Vampires and Werewolves should behave.  It is packed full of action with plenty of story to boot, enough for several more films obviously!  The world in which Underworld takes place is fantastically dark and Gothic.  One of my all time favourite vampire films, up there with 30 Days of Night.
