Tarantino’s half of Grindhouse, Death Proof felt a little disjointed almost like two episodes rather than a single film. And yes, I understand it is a homage to the old B movies but the story really is a little too simple and the dialogue alone sadly is not enough to make this anywhere near as good as Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs. Kurt Russel however is excellent as the unhinged Stuntman Mike. OK, but could have been better!
Synopsis: Stuntman Mike has been in the business for a little too long, all those bumps and knocks can’t be good for the head. Now armed with his trusty death-proof car he singles out groups of girls and uses his car as a weapon and kills them. But then he might have just picked on the wrong group of girls this time!
